Good scanner, quick delivery

I bought the Thinkdiag 2 last week. Placed my order on a Monday, and it arrived by Friday, which was pretty fast for my area (took 4 days to reach Ohio). The device connected to my phone without issues and I was able to scan my wife's Honda for a check engine light. The app was fairly straightforward to navigate, though it took a minute to figure out where the live data stream was. Overall, it seems like a solid tool for the price, definitely helped me pinpoint the problem quickly. The build quality feels decent too, not cheap plastic.

Decent tool, some app quirks

I purchased the Thinkscan 689BT to replace an older scanner. Delivery was prompt, got it in about 5 days. The unit itself is well-built and the screen is clear. I had no trouble connecting it to my car and running a full system scan. However, the software updates within the app were a bit slow to download, even on good Wi-Fi. Also, I tried to register my device and the process was a little clunky; I had to try a couple of times before it went through. Still, for the price and its capabilities, it's a good value.

Reliable as always

This was my third purchase from Thinkcar, this time I picked up the Thinktool Mini. Like my previous orders (a Thinkdiag and some software), it shipped fast and arrived in good condition. I've come to expect good quality from their products, and the Mini didn't disappoint. It's compact but still has plenty of features for quick diagnostics. Consistency is key for me, and they've always delivered on that front.

Can I stack multiple coupon codes on the Thinkcar site? Got a couple I'm hoping to use.

C Chris L. 2 months ago
Pretty sure they only let you use one code at a time for hardware purchases. That's how it worked for me anyway.

I've never been able to combine them. Usually it's one per order.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a Thinkdiag 2. Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to, say, Texas?

T Tara Patel 2 months ago
Mine got to me in Florida in about 5 days last month, so I'd guess similar for Texas.

Yeah, I think I got my Thinkscan in like a week. It wasn't super fast but not crazy long either.

How does the Thinkdiag 2 compare to something like the BlueDriver? Worth the extra money?

A Alex H. 2 months ago
Thinkdiag 2 is way more in-depth, especially with the full system diagnostics and bi-directional control. BlueDriver is good for basic stuff but that's about it.

If you're just reading codes, BlueDriver is fine. But if you want to actually *do* things like ECU coding or resets, the Thinkdiag 2 is a whole different league. Worth the upgrade for sure.

Are these Thinkcar tools legit? Like, I see some really cheap ones on other sites, but I'm worried about fakes.

R Raj 2 months ago
Order from their official site, mythinkcar.com, and you're good. That's the best way to avoid any issues.

I got mine direct from them and it's been rock solid. Wouldn't trust random eBay sellers for something like this.

What's the deal with returns if I end up not liking it? Is it a hassle?

S Sam T. 3 months ago
Nah, returns were pretty straightforward for me when I sent back a Thinkdiag Mini. Just follow their instructions.

As long as it's within their window and not damaged, you should be fine. I've heard good things about their return process.
